Welcome

Welcome from Miss Hargreaves and Mrs Emsley

"Learning our way forward together with God's Love"
A warm welcome to all of our visitors here at Clayton St John C of E Primary School.

We are a loving and supportive community that seeks to be compassionate by showing empathy and encouragement. As a Church of England Primary School, we believe in trust and forgiveness as we work and learn our way forward together.
Through this we show respect for each other and our environment, all within a thankful and hopeful Christian fellowship.
Children are at the centre of every decision that we make – our core purpose is to provide a broad and balanced curriculum for our pupils, and give them the opportunity to achieve their potential.
Our school is situated at the heart of Clayton, and is an important part of the community. We are a part of Bradford Diocesan Academy Trust (BDAT), a multiacademy trust developed by the Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales.
Alongside this collaboration, we also have strong associations with our local schools, St John’s Church and our Local Achievement Partnership. These links strengthen our offer to our pupils, staff and wider community.
At Clayton St John, we are developing a curriculum and learning environment that promotes interest, excitement, motivation, achievement and success.
We aim to develop this approach and create an environment in which children will flourish. We want the children to care and show respect for each other, value themselves and learn to appreciate the values of others. We work very closely with our families to ensure that children achieve good attendance, punctuality, behaviour and, ultimately, positive learning outcomes. Our
partnership with parents and carers is important to us. Through an effective home and school link we aim to ensure that your child's time with us is successful and happy. In a secure learning environment we will offer your child support and
challenge, as it is our aim to enable each child to achieve their own potential. We are always happy to welcome visitors, especially new families. Our school is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled school where children are educated in a
Christian environment. We welcome children and their families from all faiths, beliefs and those who hold no specific religious beliefs.
